Merchant Hospitality was formed to cater and develop concepts in the Hospitality Industry.

We established Flanagan’s Prime Steakhouse & Bar in 2007, a 200 seater Irish/ American Bar and Restaurant. This success of the establishment was immediate as our product was new to Ireland and catered for the growing market of regular dining rather than occasional. Dining out has become a social past time and our customers have become frequent visitors.

We established Flanagan’s and branded it as a product we could translate and transcend to any part of the world and we are confident of its ability to impress discerning customers the world over.

In these challenging times costs and service quality in our industry have become critical, we therefore established a consultancy service offering advice, guidance and solutions to the problems catering outlets experience.
We offer expertise on Profit Margins, Wage Costs, Utilities, Staff training and recruitment, Product sourcing, Budgets, Marketing and Government Regulations.

Through consultations we discovered an opening in the UK and Ireland Market for consultancy and sourcing of products for event companies. As a result we set up The Theme Chair Company with incredible success we have created designs, manufactured and sourced linens, furniture, table and room décor for the top event companies in the UK.

Our next venture was to provide the event management under Merchant Hospitality - International Event Management & Planning, we discovered the problems and frustrations clients were experiencing and can bring the client to the source of all our products therefore providing unrivalled choice, service and expertise. We deal directly with the famous designers and manufacturers removing the middle man which offers greater control and value in our products.

Clionadh Flanagan, Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Hotel & Catering Mangement. Achieving her degree by training in Switzerland and Ireland. Having 15 years experience in the industry in Europe she founded Merchant Hospitality to oversee a successful Bar & Restaurant which she is expanding into the Middle East, a Consultancy Business and an Events Company

Fiona Maguire, Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Business with Marketing and studied business management in JFK, School of Business at Harvard, she studied in Ireland and the USA. She set up The Theme Chair Company which introduced the concept of manufacturing and hiring wedding chair covers and bespoke linens in N. Ireland. She then expanded this company to provide a full fit out service to dress venues for events of all kinds. In Merchant Hospitality she introduced the concept of Event Planning and with our team has helped to build this successful branch of our company.
